Frequently asked questions

60 straight answers about how the marketplace works, what our lab results actually prove, and what happens between paying and opening the box.

For Research Use Only. Everything sold here is a research chemical for in-vitro laboratory study — not for human consumption, and not medical advice. We publish no dosing, protocols, or health claims.

Peptuvia basics

What this platform is, and how it differs from a normal peptide vendor.

What is Peptuvia?

Peptuvia is a research peptide marketplace. Instead of being one vendor with one price list, we list multiple vetted independent sources for each compound so you can compare them on price, shipping origin, and published lab results — then buy from whichever one you prefer. We send samples to independent US analytical labs ourselves, and every result we get is published publicly, pass or fail. We don't test every batch, so a result is evidence about the production run it was taken from rather than a blanket claim about the catalog.

How is Peptuvia different from a regular peptide vendor?

Two differences. First, we're a marketplace, not a reseller: you see several sources per compound with their prices side by side, rather than a single marked-up price. Second, the quality data is checkable rather than asserted. Some results are tests we commissioned and submitted to the lab blind. Others are certificates the source supplied — those go up only once we can confirm the document against the issuing lab, usually on the lab's own verification site, and many published results carry a link so you can pull the lab's copy instead of trusting ours. Either way it gets published whether it passes or fails.

Why is it so much cheaper than a US vendor?

Most US peptide brands buy from the same class of overseas manufacturers we do, then resell at roughly 10–12× that price. You're paying for a domestic middleman, not a different molecule. Buying through the marketplace removes that layer: you pay close to source pricing plus our marketplace margin.

Do you manufacture or warehouse the products yourselves?

No. Peptuvia never manufactures, takes title to, or physically handles inventory. Orders are fulfilled and shipped by the independent sources — many of them from their own regional warehouses in the US, UK, EU (Germany), Australia, and Canada. We handle the storefront, the order, the payment, the lab relationships, and support.

Do I need an account to order?

No. Checkout works as a guest — you only need an email address and a shipping address. Creating an account is optional and just adds order history and a saved shipping address. Either way you can look up any order with its order number and the email you used at checkout.

How do I know Peptuvia isn't a scam?

Check the receipts rather than taking our word for it. Every lab result we hold is published in a public COA library with its verification code, the testing lab, and the date — failures included. Most of them link to the issuing lab's own site, so you can confirm the certificate at the source rather than trusting our copy of it. Several of our sources also carry independently published track records on third-party databases like Finnrick and Janoshik, which we don't control. And every order ships with tracking you can follow from dispatch to delivery.

COAs & lab testing

Certificates of analysis, purity numbers, and how to check a batch yourself.

What is a COA (Certificate of Analysis)?

A COA is the lab document that says what is actually in a specific production run. A useful one reports four things: the identity of the compound, its purity as a percentage, which production run it applies to, and the date and name of the lab that ran the analysis. How the run gets identified varies by manufacturer — some print a lot or batch number, but many mark a run only by the colour of the vial caps. What separates evidence from marketing is that the certificate names a real run and a real lab: one with no run, no date and no named facility can be reused to sell anything.

How do I read a COA?

Check four things in order. Identity: mass spectrometry should confirm the molecular weight matches the target peptide. Purity: the HPLC figure, where 98% or higher is a pass. Which run it covers: a lot or batch number where the manufacturer assigns one, and otherwise whatever marks the run — usually the cap colour, since most sources don't print a code at all. Test date and lab: recent, and from a named independent facility rather than the manufacturer's own QC.

What's the difference between HPLC and mass spectrometry?

They answer different questions. HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) separates the sample and measures how much of it is the target peptide versus impurities — that's where the purity percentage comes from. Mass spectrometry measures molecular weight to confirm the compound is the peptide it claims to be. A 99% purity number means nothing if the identity is wrong, which is why a credible COA carries both.

What does the purity percentage actually mean?

It's the HPLC peak area for the target compound relative to everything else detected in the sample. We treat 98% or higher as a pass, and hold sources to 99% or better — if an independent test of your batch comes back under 99%, we reship it free or refund the order, your choice.

What is net peptide content, and why does it matter?

Purity tells you what fraction of the powder is the target peptide; net content tells you how many milligrams of it are actually in the vial. A vial can be 99% pure and still be under-filled against its label. Where the lab measures it, we publish net peptide content in mg alongside the labeled amount, so you can see whether a batch is short, on-label, or over-label.

How do I verify a specific batch?

Enter the verification code on the verification page. That's the code we assign to each published result — you'll find it in the test history on the product page and in the COA library, and it's ours rather than something printed on your vial. You'll get that result in full — purity, identity, net content where measured, the lab, and the date — plus the COA itself where a PDF is available, and a link to the issuing lab's own copy where the lab publishes one. Every result has a permanent URL at https://peptuvia.com/verify/<verification-code>, so it stays citable and shareable.

Where do I find my batch code?

There's a good chance your kit doesn't carry one. Only two of our sources print a traceable batch or lot number on the kit — they're badged in the vendor directory — and the rest separate production runs by the colour of the vial caps, or don't mark them at all. The codes on this site are our own verification codes, one per published result, shown in the test history on each product page and in the COA library. If your label has no number on it, look the product up in the library instead and compare the lot or cap colour named on the certificate against what arrived.

Can vendors fake or cherry-pick the results you publish?

Faking one, no — and the cherry-picking question deserves a straighter answer than most sites give. Some results are tests we commissioned and submitted blind, so they come back from the lab with no vendor involved. Others are certificates a source handed us, and those we publish only after confirming the document against the issuing lab, normally through the lab's own verification page — a doctored PDF doesn't survive that. A customer who has a vial tested can send us the result too; it goes through the same check against the issuing lab, and it's labelled customer-submitted everywhere it appears, so you can always tell which results we didn't pay for. What we can't do is compel a source to send us a result it would rather sit on, which is why we publish every result we do receive, failures included, and why a COA is best read as evidence about the run it names rather than a verdict on the vendor. The complete history for a compound sits on its product page.

Are the COAs batch-specific or generic?

Batch-specific. Each published result is the analysis of an actual production run — deliberately different from the industry-standard stock COA, a certificate from a sample sent off months ago and reused to market every batch since. How tightly that run can be identified depends on the manufacturer: where the COA names a lot we publish it verbatim, and where the source marks runs by cap colour instead, that's what there is to go on. The flip side is worth stating plainly either way: a COA covers the run it was taken from and nothing else. Vendors ship thousands of kits and restock continuously, so there's no guarantee your order comes from the tested run.

What happens if a batch fails testing?

It gets published anyway, flagged for review rather than quietly dropped, and it counts against that product's quality score. For your order, a failure is covered: if an independent test of your batch comes back under 99% purity, we reship it free or refund the order — your choice.

What do the quality scores and letter grades mean?

Each product carries a grade derived from the average purity of every published independent test for it: A+ is above 99.5%, A is above 99%, B is 97–99%, C is 95–97%, and D is under 95%. Alongside the grade you'll see the number of tests, the pass rate, and the range from lowest to highest result, so a single flattering test can't carry the score.

Which labs do the testing?

Independent US analytical facilities we work with directly — the network is listed on our testing page, sorted to show the one nearest your state first. The results published on the site today came from Freedom Diagnostics in Franklin, Tennessee and Bioviridian in Bryan, Texas; both are established partners, and we're onboarding more labs to widen coverage. We also work with independent labs outside the US as that network expands.

Do you test for endotoxins and heavy metals too?

HPLC purity and mass-spec identity are the standard panel, and that's what the results published here report. Endotoxin (LAL) and heavy-metal (ICP-MS) screening are available as add-ons at several of our partner labs for research applications that need sterility or elemental-impurity data, and where a result includes one it shows on that batch's verification page next to the purity figure.

Does every batch have a published COA?

No, and we'd rather say so than imply otherwise. We list over a hundred products from more than twelve vendors, stock sells out and gets replaced quickly, and we don't control which production runs a vendor samples — so a COA on every batch from every source isn't something we can promise. Most sources don't even number their batches, which is part of why per-batch coverage isn't a thing anyone could hold us to. What we do commit to is publishing every result we receive, pass or fail. Treat a COA as evidence about the run it names rather than a guarantee covering everything we sell. The product page shows the full test history for a compound; the COA library shows everything we hold.

The COA shows a different lot than the vials I received. Is that a problem?

It's normal, and it isn't a sign anything is wrong with your order. A COA covers the lot it names. Vendors restock continuously and we don't control which runs get sampled, so a later production run often ships without a certificate of its own — that lot simply hasn't been tested, which is why we don't promise per-batch coverage anywhere on this site. A cap colour that doesn't match the one on the certificate means the same thing, and it's the more common case: most sources mark their runs that way rather than with a printed lot code. If a published COA matters for what you're doing, check the COA library before ordering to see exactly which lots we hold results for. You're also free to send a vial to any independent lab yourself — send us the certificate and it goes into the library like any other, labelled customer-submitted, whichever way the numbers read.

Can I get my own vial independently tested?

Nothing stops you, and we'd encourage it — send a vial to any independent analytical lab and compare their number to ours. Routing an order through a partner lab as a checkout add-on is paused right now, so orders ship direct while we publish batch results from the labs we work with. If you have a specific testing need, email us and we'll point you at a facility.

Ordering & payment

Placing an order, what we accept, and what happens after you pay.

How do I place an order?

Find the compound in the catalog, pick a source from the list on the product page — they're compared on price, shipping origin, and published purity — add it to your cart, then check out with your shipping address and payment method. You'll get an email confirmation once payment is detected.

What currency are prices in?

Every price on the site is in US dollars (USD) — products, shipping, lab testing and gift card balances alike. That holds wherever you are and whichever regional warehouse fills your order: a warehouse in Australia, Canada, the UK or the EU changes where the parcel is sent from, not the currency it is priced in. We don't price or charge in any other currency. Cash-app and crypto payments alike settle against the same USD total.

What payment methods do you accept?

Apple Pay, plus cash and bank apps through a hosted checkout — Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, Wise, Revolut, N26 and PayPal — and self-custodial crypto (USDC, USDT, ETH, SOL). We don't take credit or debit cards or Google Pay. Apple Pay is available to US buyers, up to $500 a week. Gift cards and store credit can be applied to any order. The exact list live at any moment is shown on the checkout page.

Do I need cryptocurrency to buy from you?

No. Plenty of orders are paid with Apple Pay, Venmo, Zelle, Cash App or Wise, and no wallet is involved. Crypto is offered because it's fast, cheap and self-custodial, not because it's required.

Are there fees on top of my order total?

Paying by cash app routes through a third-party provider that charges its own fee, and that fee is shown before you confirm — it's never added silently after the fact. Paying in crypto has no provider fee; you only pay the network's own transaction cost.

Is paying by crypto safe? Do you hold my card details?

Crypto payments are self-custodial: you send from your own wallet or exchange to the address shown, and we detect the payment on-chain. We don't accept cards, so there are no card details to hold. Cash-app payments are handled by the provider on their own hosted page, and there's no KYC with us.

When is my order confirmed?

As soon as your payment is detected, automatically — you'll get a confirmation email with your order number. An order that's never paid is cancelled automatically after 48 hours, so nothing sits pending indefinitely. If you started a payment and something went wrong, reply to the confirmation email or contact support and we'll sort it out.

Can I cancel or change an order after paying?

Get in touch immediately with your order number. Before an order is forwarded to the source we can usually change the address or cancel it. Once the source has dispatched it, we can't recall or modify the parcel.

Do you have coupon codes or discounts?

Yes, and the live ones are all listed publicly on our deals page — if a code isn't there, it isn't valid. One code per order, applied to the product subtotal (never to shipping or lab testing).

Do you sell gift cards or store credit?

Yes. Gift codes start with GIFT- and apply to your whole order total, including shipping and any testing fee. If the card is worth more than the order, the remainder stays on it for next time. You can check any card's remaining balance at any point.

How do I track my order?

Enter your order number and the email you used at checkout on the tracking page, and you'll see live status — payment, dispatch, and the tracking number as soon as the source provides it. Tracking numbers are emailed too. Published lab results aren't tied to your order, since most kits carry no batch number to match against; look your product up in the COA library to see which runs we hold results for.

What if a product is out of stock?

Out-of-stock offers show a "Notify me" option on the product page. Leave your email and you'll get a message the moment that source restocks. Often another source in the same list has it in stock right now, so it's worth checking the alternatives before waiting.

Do you take large or bulk orders?

Email us with the compounds and quantities you need and we'll check pricing and lead times with the sources directly. Larger orders often route differently than a standard cart, so it's worth asking first.

Shipping & delivery

Where orders ship from, how long they take, and what shipping costs.

Where do orders ship from?

It depends on the source you pick. Many ship from in-region warehouses in the US, UK, EU (Germany, the Netherlands), Australia, or Canada, so the parcel is a domestic delivery. Others ship direct from the manufacturer. Each product page shows the origin for every source, and you can filter the list by region.

How long does delivery take?

Sources shipping from an in-region warehouse typically deliver in about 2–7 days. Sources shipping direct from the manufacturer usually take 12–21 days. The estimate for the specific source you've chosen is shown on the product page and again at checkout.

How much is shipping?

It's set per source, because each one ships its own parcel from its own location. Rates start around $15–$20 flat from a regional warehouse, and many sources waive shipping once their own product subtotal passes a free-shipping threshold — commonly $800, though it varies by source. You'll see the exact figure for each source in your cart before you pay.

Why did my order arrive in more than one parcel?

Because your cart included products from more than one source, and each ships its own parcel with its own shipping fee and its own timeline. If you'd rather have one parcel and one shipping charge, consolidate the cart onto a single source — the cart flags this when it applies.

Which countries do you ship to?

Coverage varies by source, since each sets its own export restrictions. The country checker lists exactly which vendors deliver to your country, and checkout blocks any source in your cart that can't ship to your address before you pay.

What if my order doesn't arrive?

Every order ships tracked. If a parcel is lost in transit, contact support with your order number and we'll reship it or refund the order. Once the carrier records a parcel as delivered we can't refund or replace it — if a delivered parcel isn't with you, ask your local carrier depot to check the GPS coordinates on the delivery scan, which often places it at a nearby address.

Is the packaging discreet?

Yes. Parcels ship in plain packaging with no product names or branding on the outside. Every order is tracked, and there's no minimum order size to get tracked delivery.

Products & sources

What arrives, and why several sources list the same compound.

What am I actually buying — a vial or a kit?

Most listings are kits containing multiple vials of lyophilized (freeze-dried) powder. Each product page shows the milligrams per vial, the number of vials in the kit, and the price both per vial and per kit, so you can compare against vendors that quote single vials.

Why are there several sources listed for the same compound?

That's the marketplace part. The same molecule is available from more than one vetted source, each with its own price, shipping origin, delivery time, and published purity history. Rather than picking for you, we list them side by side so you can weigh cost against speed and track record.

Do you give dosing advice or protocols?

No. Everything sold here is a research chemical for in-vitro laboratory study, and we don't publish dosing, protocols, handling instructions, or anything that could be read as medical guidance. Our content covers analytical quality, verification, and the underlying science.

Are these the same compounds US vendors sell?

They're the same molecules, generally made by the same class of manufacturers that supply US resellers. The difference is what you pay and what you can verify: our purity and identity numbers are published per test, with the lab named and the production run identified as precisely as the manufacturer labels it, rather than asserted on a label.

Guarantees & problems

What's covered, and what to do when something goes wrong.

What's your purity guarantee?

If an independent lab test of your batch comes back under 99% purity, we reship it free or refund the order — your choice. That's the same standard we hold sources to, which is why it's a commitment rather than a marketing line.

Can I return an order?

Because these are research chemicals, delivered goods can't be returned once they're out of our hands — with one exception: a documented quality failure. If a batch fails on purity or identity, we arrange a replacement or a full refund.

Which lab's results count if I want a replacement on quality grounds?

For most sources, any competent independent lab. Two are stricter: Ulevity and Ulevity (US) recognise Janoshik results only — if you have a vial tested and want a replacement from them on quality grounds, the report has to come from Janoshik, and the testing fee is refunded when it turns up a problem. Reports from other testing agencies aren't accepted for a claim on those two sources, so check before you pay a lab for one. This doesn't narrow our own purity guarantee, which stands on an independent test of your batch coming back under 99% whoever ran it. Either way, send us the certificate — every result we receive is published, pass or fail.

My order is late or the tracking hasn't updated. What now?

Tracking can sit quiet for a few days between scans, especially on an international leg. If it's been longer than the estimate you were quoted, or the tracking hasn't moved in several days, contact support with your order number and we'll chase the source and the carrier directly.

My order arrived damaged or incomplete. What do I do?

Email support with your order number and photos of what arrived, including the packaging. That covers a broken or leaking vial, a wrong item, and anything missing from the kit: we take it up with the source and arrange a replacement or refund, so you don't have to negotiate with the vendor yourself. How the powder inside an intact vial looks is a separate question — see the next answer.

The powder in my vial is cracked, shifted, or stuck to the side. Can I get a refund?

No. Lyophilized peptide is a fragile cake, and a vial that crosses an ocean by air and road is shaken the whole way — the powder often breaks up, slides down the wall of the vial, or arrives as loose flakes rather than an intact disc. Please note that if the powder's appearance is damaged due to transportation vibration or other reasons, we do not provide any refund or replacement. Appearance is not a measure of what's in the vial; a test result is. A broken or leaking vial, a missing item, or a batch that fails on purity or identity is a different matter, and those we do act on.

How do I contact a human?

Use the support form or email hello@peptuvia.com. Order questions get routed straight to the team handling your shipment, so include your order number if you have one. We reply by email.

Referrals & reviews

Earning on referrals, and how customer feedback gets published.

Do you have an affiliate or referral program?

Yes, and it's self-serve — sign up and get a personal code instantly, with no follower minimum. Your audience gets 10% off, and you earn 5% commission on every order they place, rising to 10% once you pass 50 confirmed orders. Commissions are recurring on reorders, with payouts in USDC or SOL on Solana, or as store credit if you'd rather skip crypto.

Can I leave a review?

Yes. After a delivery is confirmed we email you a review link for that order, so reviews are tied to real purchases rather than open to anyone. Ratings are published per source on the product pages, which is what makes them useful when you're choosing between vendors.

Still not sure about something?

Ask us anything — including which source to buy from. We answer by email, usually the same day.
